Polo Citrus ‘dust bind’ was selected for use on our Bridge Replacement Project as it was an environmentally friendly product - no harm to aquatic life. This was essential as the Project was located within a pristine Marine Park which supported a large oyster aquiculture industry.
To protect the major waterway, we had a high focus on batter stabilisation throughout the duration of the Project.
We mixed our own dye ratio, controlling how green the binder came out, even on orange soils it was clearly visible. This made the application easy and uniform with no areas missed, as well as being more aesthetically pleasing to the community.

I'm fully in favour of Polo Citrus, especially as we are near the freeway where dust management is crucial. We're currently crushing aggregates and crushed rock from Paddock rock, mainly basalt. This material carries a lot of dirt, worsening the dust issue.
Since implementing Polo Citrus on the jaw crusher, the most severe dust issues from the conveyor beneath the jaw have dramatically improved. I would conservatively estimate that it effectively controls more than 80% of the dust throughout the entire process.
We found that just water was about 25% as effective which was highlighted when we ran out of Polo Citrus (we forgot to order). Having used the product at Boral, I found no surprises. I highly recommend it as it's invaluable. It only needs to save a few hours a month in shutdowns to justify its cost.

I highly recommend the Polo Citrus team, product, supply, and service. We have encountered no issues with the Polo Citrus units, even in the demanding environment of quarry operations. They have undoubtedly played a significant role in our dust reduction initiatives throughout the fixed plant.
As a result, we have noticed a reduction in operator hours, thanks to the reliability of the Polo Citrus units in managing dust and preventing shutdowns and other dust-related complications.
In recent years, we have upgraded and integrated Polo Citrus into our other quarries and plant.
